This Drugstore Eye Cream Might Actually Be Better Than All The Expensive Ones

WHAT: Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream

WHY: We’ll be honest with you. We’re not entirely sure that eye creams “do” anything.

Yes, fine, we know the skin around our eyes is “thin” so we mustn’t neglect it. But aren’t we already spending inordinate amounts of money on creams and oils and potions on our overall face-skin? Why do we need ANOTHER tube for the one centimeter of space that is our eye-skin? Is this truly necessary to be beautiful and youthful or is this just another way Big Cosmetics scams us into thinking we’re lesser people, lesser women if we don’t wear their $64 fucking eye cream?

Well. Sorry. We’re not gonna be able to unpack that rabbit hole today. We’re like 2 people behind the scenes here at this operation.

But what we can do is point you in the direction of our favorite eye cream we’ve tried where we notice a visible difference when we DON’T use it.

They claim you’ll see results in one week of use. We can’t fully endorse that claim but we definitely saw a noticeable dryness and dullness when we temporarily paused our use for the purposes of this review.

When we used this over the course of one month, wrinkles definitely softened, lids and under-eyes were noticeably more hydrated, dark circles were minimized, and we noticed more brightening overall. And as an enormous bonus, it’s gorgeous under makeup—never greasy, never pilly.

Note that this probably isn’t your new dream-cream if you’re after something for puffiness—and for our money nothing works better than THIS.

Now, it has retinol (which is likely why it actually “works”) and with any retinol product you should try it out every other day at first to be sure your skin is happy with it.

It’s fun to find skincare that works, isn’t it? It’s even more fun when that skincare is under $35.

PRICE: $34
