There is a side of us that still dreams of living out the shopping montage of our favorite '90s movies. But that was back when stores carried everything, and you never heard the phrase “no, but we can order that for you in your size.”
Nowadays, we resign ourselves to the fact that often the best deals, stock, and stores are waiting for us online. And that even shopping for those specialty, luxury designer things we lust after can be done smartly. And strangely, in the same place we order our replacement toothbrush heads.
We know. Amazon and “designer” sounds weird. Amazon is weird. The warehouse vibe. The ugly pictures. Also, where else do you find a sweater that has a $200+ price difference between a small and a medium?
But here’s the thing. If you’re willing to dig, you can find many of the designer things you’ve long been coveting. Often with a better price tag. Or size/color selection.
So, we dug for you.

Look, we’re lazy. And probably a little too practical. But we also like to look chic. So we appreciate when a bag does all the work for us. This tote + our shlubbiest outfit = us looking pretty damn good. And we realize, it’s become somewhat iconic of late, but what we love most about this bag is the compact size that carries all our crap without weighing us down.

We have written A LOT about this dress. What can we say? Ruching is fashion’s singular gift to curves. It’s the ideal event dress, and it comes in no less than 25 colors - 6 of which are in our cart waiting to be narrowed down as we speak. It goes for over $200 elsewhere, so if you find your color, you may want to pounce.

3. AYR Women's The Deep End Button Down Shirt
We’re not trendy per se (*cough* at all), but when everyone and their mother (also Oprah!) starts shouting about something as staple as a button-down, we must see for ourselves. And okay fine, this is a veeeeerrrry cute, breezy, coastal button-down. And we did look 17x chicer when we put it on. Especially with the below jeans. So, yeah, yeah, everyone was right.

4. PAIGE Women's Ultra High Rise Cindy Distressed Jeans
Our most favorite wide-leg jeans on this planet happen to be Paige. They cost $224, and due to the sheer amount of our time on this earth that we wear them, we think they’re worth it. But these jeans are also wildly cute. And Paige! And less than $100, guys.

5. Gucci Womens UV Protection Modern Cat Eye Sunglasses
A pair of sunglasses that looks good on every single shape of face was only the stuff of lore. Until now. These are perfection. And Gucci, naturally.

6. Vince Women's Double Stripe Pullover
The shape and STRIPES on this perfect sweater has us in a little bit of a frenzy. It’s a mix of wool and cashmere so it keeps its shape while staying soft. It’s an annoying game of Russian Roulette to see if your size costs $100 or $300 (oof, Amazon 🙄). But at least the odds of it becoming your favorite sweater are very, very good.

ASTR the Label makes dresses that fit beautifully and always have something interesting going on. Just look at the back of this very dress. It comes in several pretty colors and prints - the floral also has our heart. But with this perfect, flattering sleeve and shape, it’s become a staple black maxi dress. Also, the price.
