This 2-Second Trick Made My Eye Bags Disappear

Hi. I’m Audie. And I have eye bags.

I’ve always had them, so they’re genetic. I sleep pretty decently, I don’t eat garbage food, I use 9 billion costly skincare products, and yet whatever I do and wherever I go, inevitably strangers will come up to me and ask if I’m “tired.”

And this is why I basically make it my daily mission to ferret out secrets and hacks and tricks and products to hide my bags as much as humanly possible. And by the way, bags are not universally ugly. On some people they’re adorable. On me, they’re not, and they make me sad.

So in my various sweeps and sleuths across the Internet, I came upon this fascinating video of celeb makeup artist Gucci Westman putting on bronzer and it stopped me in my tracks.

Skip to 2:11 to see what I mean:

Did you see what I just saw?

WHY IS SHE PUTTING BRONZER UNDER HER EYES!? And….why does she look so goddamn rested after she does it?

So I tried it. And by god if it didn’t make me look rested, too. Take a look. I included a little side by side with zero makeup on the left.

I also placed my blush much higher than I normally do which I think is also lending itself to this magical rested trick. And I used all of my own products, not hers, and they worked beautifully.

So if eye bags have also made you sad your whole life, try this. Take a selfie. It works.

And here are a few product ideas if you don’t yet have a bronzer or blush you love:

  1. THIS bronzer is absolutely the most beautiful, blurring powder bronzer of all time. And it comes in 4 shades.

  2. We have a whole thing about brushes HERE but I also love THIS brush and THIS double sided multitasker.

  3. If you want blush that gives you gorgeous gleam, zero shimmer, and makes your skin look like utter glass, THIS ONE is the greatest of all time.

  4. This is weird but THIS skincare product is the only thing that has helped with my bags in a more permanent way.

  5. And THIS is what I smear all over my face to fill in the crags and wrinks and nooks. It’s like magic.

Good luck. You’re beautiful. Just as you are.
