These Are The Only 9 Things We Bought This Fall And NONE Of Them Are Trendy

We don’t do trends. Trends make us sad.
We don’t subscribe to the idea that we have to chase after whatever dumb color is “cool” that season, and we certainly don’t suddenly buy pants with front pleats just because they were just worn by a 98 pound model during fashion week.
We do, however, want gorgeous clothes that make us feel powerful and pretty and confident and comfortable.
And these are the only 9 things that really make us feel that way this fall.
1. this CROPPED button down shirt
Why we love it: Yes. Cropped. We recently realized that we despise tucking in our shirts. It’s bunchy, uncomfortable, gives us bulk, inhibits the full use of our arms for fear of untucking, and in 2020, we set sail to it. But we LOVE button down shirts. So what to do?
This. This shirt. We wear it over jeans, over skirts, it’s incredibly flattering, and we never have to think about shirt-tucking management.
P.S. We do like one (and only one) button down shirt that isn’t cropped, but we wear it untucked with a fanny pack to create a flattering waist. See it HERE.

2. These wide leg pants from Amazon
Why we love it: There’s just something about clothes being a finger swipe away from arriving on our doorstep that makes them so much more alluring. But even if these wildly flattering wide-leg pants weren’t from Amazon, we would still be writing about them in a frenzy. Here are some of their highlights:
—High-waisted enough to wear almost any shirt with them.
—Such a flat front that you can also easily wear a tank over them with zero bulk.
—They come in (deep breath) 26 different colors and patterns.
—Particularly incredible for curves, especially if you feel like you have a hard time finding pants that fit your waist AND your butt AND your thighs.

3.This utterly insane scarf/wrap/shawl/cape
Why we love it: Our goal in life, is to be not cold. Further, our goal in life is to feel wrapped up in an unspeakably cozy scarf which doubles as a blanket in a pinch.
This one is so soft, and so enormous, we wear it in multiple ways, and never take it off.
Then we throw it in the wash and toss it in the dryer and it’s just as perfect as the day we bought it.

4. These High Waisted Jeans
Why we love it: If jeans never fit you, these jeans will fit you. The high waist is perfect, the hem is supremely flattering, it comes in an array of sizes and lengths, and you’ll softly cry when you pull them on and realize you don’t have a waist gap.
The only con is that they constantly sell out. So if you see your size, get it.
Ps: Don’t be afraid of the brand. We were shocked, too.

5. This untrendy but very chic bag
Why we love it: We honestly can’t be bothered with the 13 new bag “shapes” each season. We love beautifully made bags with quality material that we’ll love today and 30 years from now. But we also demand total chicness and beauty. This tote fits that bill. And the price is truly excellent.

6. This Delicious Coat
Why we love it: If tight coats are your nemesis, but you love to be able to throw something on over your sweatshirt or sweater without feeling like the Michelin man, this coat is your girl.
And for a permanent piece in your outerwear wardrobe, the price feels pretty darn good.

7. This stretchy column skirt
Why we love it: Guys. Do stores not sell skirts anymore? All we ever see is that silky slip skirt and we’re deeply confused. But a good, flattering column skirt feels like pajamas and looks smart as hell.
And this one is our favorite. Throw an oversized sweatshirt over this, along with boots or loafers or white sneaks and you are suddenly wearing and outfit and you barely put any effort into it.
