3 Of The Easiest Summer-to-Fall Outfits We're Copying From Celebs Because We're Tired And Don't Want To Think About It
Easy is the keyword here.
by The Candidly Team
We’re not above copying excellent outfits we see being worn out in the wild by celebrities. Especially in that weird period between summer and fall when getting dressed makes no sense.
And if those outfits happen to belong to Jennifer Aniston, so be it.
The older and lazier we get around getting dressed, the more we appreciate certain style “templates” that are flattering, chic, and easy to follow.
So, in that spirit, here are three such outfits are getting us through the most in-between of seasons.
1. This Chic Knit Tank And Cropped Pant From Jen An
Why we love it: A knit tank* is like a little emblem of elegance. Toss it on, and A) you look like you actually put some effort into your “look” and B) You’re not overheated when the sun decides to blaze at 2pm. Pair it with high-waisted, cropped, black pants with a kickout bottom* so they balance your curves and poof, you’re chic!
We noticed that Jen wore this combo with a closed-toed heel* for business but changed it up to her signature flip flop* for her off hours, and both work beautifully:
And when the cool air or an evening drizzle comes at 6pm, she was ready with a light, Audrey Hepburn-esque trench*, the ideal all-seasons piece of outerwear:
That’s it. That’s the template. Classic. Uncomplicated. But as with all classic and uncomplicated looks worth copying, we have to be specific about the pieces we choose to execute it. Here are our favorites:

2. This Blazer, Fitted Top, And Classic Jeans From Reese Witherspoon
Why we love it: You may have noticed this look in the other half of the Jennifer Aniston photo above:
But Reese Witherspoon’s staple blazer*, fitted top (or more likely bodysuit*, because look at that smooth tuck) and straight/90s jeans* have been a go-to in both her real life and in Bradley Jackson’s fictional one. It’s one of those casually sophisticated looks that also gives you incredibly flattering proportions:

Word to the wise, if you have shorter legs or a longer torso, choosing a cropped blazer* with high-waisted jeans will make your legs look longer.
Here’s an example from Reese:
Like Jen, she always seems to have one minimalist, yet slightly chunky chain* to complete the look.
And here’s how we’re putting this look together ourselves:

3. This Classic White Tee, Jeans, And Sneaks Trio From Jen An
Why we love it: We recently did a little dive into why a white top*, loose jeans*, and white sneaks* are such a foolproof uniform for women over 40, but we think it boils down to the fact that this look is the most precise intersection between classic and cool.
Yes, you can change it up a little with a cropped jean* and a nude flip flop* on warm days:
Or you can add a striped or gingham button-down* as a layering piece when the temp suddenly drops or you’re heading out to dinner.
Unsurprisingly, Jennifer Aniston is also kinda queen of the gorgeous button-down:
Again, every piece has to fit jussssssst right. We were especially careful about how we copied Jen’s jeans (both full length* and cropped*), which we noticed are often AG and always have that idyllic, elongating fit.
