We love a good nude and natural lip color. We talked about our absolute favorite your-lips-but-better shade HERE, our favorite gloss HERE, and even Jen An’s own preferred, pinkish nude HERE.
But some days, we want a bit more depth and drama - some just bitten color to give a little pluck to our pout. And if we had to describe what we’re looking for in two words they would be this: Rachel Green.
We’ve written about Rachel’s clothes and we’ve written about Jennifer Aniston’s lip color. But Rachel herself wore a rich and stunning, supremely 90s but also timeless shade we’ve never been able to get out of our minds. Cue 376 photos of her (and her lips) looking amazing:

According to Friends head makeup artist Robin Siegel, it was almost always paired with Mac’s famous lip liner in shade Spice*, which looks like this:
You can apply them together or the lipstick alone, and the result is a color you can wear just as comfortably with jeans to a coffee house, to work at Ralph Lauren, or to one of Ross’s weddings … perhaps even your own.
It’s that long lost, late-90s color that we forget looked soooooo good. And we finally know what it’s called.
And that my friends, is closure. Had to do it.
