Now, we are going to be “so for real” with you right now and say that we sort of thought Naturalizer was for … an older gal. But somewhere along the way, we ourselves became older gals. Not OLD of course, but old enough to get smart about not wanting to live a life of foot pain. But not so old that we’re willing to sacrifice chicness. And this is where this brand is sort of sitting—in the perfect sweet spot of—I demand style but also demand comfort, both in equal measure, or I simply will not wear shoes.

Ok, so we had to figure out … why are these sandals so unspeakably comfortable, instantly upon wearing, with zero “breaking them in” time, such that all other flats are now dead to us? Here’s what we can surmise:

The leather is pre-softened so nothing is stiff or diggy.

There’s “open cell foam” cushioning that creates essentially a cloud-like feel every time we step.
The arch support is why we’ve tested these out for all-day-walking trips and our feet feel zero fatigue at the end of the day. Yes, hills and hard pavement, too.
We’ve never thought about this before but the lining itself is made from breathable materials so your feet don’t sweat which creates less friction and therefore, less foot fatigue. (Genius)
