These Casual, “Magic Fabric” Pants Are Wildly Flattering On Literally Everyone.
WHAT: The Colette Cropped Wide-Leg Pants by Maeve
WHY: No matter your shape, finding a perfectly fitting pair of pants is a huge challenge. And when it happens, it’s like the skies open, the angels sing, and our impulse is to buy one in every possible color and pattern immediately if not sooner.
Fortunately, life’s most perfect fitting pants come in so many lengths, materials, colors, and patterns, that we don’t have to choose between intense comfort, and effortless chicness.
Without further ado, let’s all gaze upon Anthropologie’s best-selling pant (for good reason) The Colette.
Ok, so what makes these “magic fabric” pants so unbelievably good? The truth is, we don’t entirely understand what’s going on. But here are some of its otherworldly features:
1. They got the rump area RIGHT. It’s roomy enough to accommodate the roundest of bottoms, but because there’s some extra fabric, toward the waist, there is never a waist gap. Never. Ever. When you slide them on for the first time and feel them go alllll the way up to your waist with no pulling, you truly might shed a tear. We did.
2. The light, airy fabric is so shockingly stretchy and sculpting, but somehow these pants still look chic and crisp. They feel like a legging, but look like a trouser. Aka, the dream!
3. FRONT pockets mean you don’t have any hip-bulk, so your silhouette looks long and lean.
4. It comes in corduroy, denim, full-length, ponte, patterns, faux leather, linen, plus, but our heart is with the original “magic fabric” cotton blend.
4. High-waist. Wide leg. Nuff said.
