WHY: We have heretofore been the type of gals who wear exclusively ratty, oversized t-shirts to bed. They’re soft, they’re comfortable, and that was sort of the end of it.
Of course, we occasionally think back to those halcyon days of our youth, when we’d pour over the Victoria’s Secret catalogue—we’d lust after the bras, of course, but our gaze fell more on those beautiful ladies in their grown-up, silk pajama sets—lounging on perfectly unmade king beds with just-so rumpled sheets, or watching their French press coffee machines on kitchen countertops.
We would imagine ourselves in those silky pajamas, in our grown up bedrooms and our grown up kitchens, drinking our grown up French press coffee.
But somewhere along the way we got jobs and got married and had kids and houses and dogs and we forgot about our simple dream of wearing grown-up silky pajamas.
Until now.
We found, no exaggeration, the most chic, gorgeous, comfortable, can’t-stop-wearing silky pajamas on this earth, and our only sadness is that it took us half a lifetime to discover them.
But here’s the rub. They’re made of something called “eco satin” and it might be the softest, butteriest fabric our skin has ever touched. It’s so breathable and so lightweight, there are times when we’re wearing these that they feel like … nothing at all. If you’re a fabric nerd like us, we found THIS* description of how they make it.

This exact style of pajama comes in a dizzying array of different patterns and colors—some of our faves are THIS* THIS* and THIS*. And they also make them with shorts*! If we ever exposed our knees to the world we would surely buy them for summer but as all we do not. Many patterns have matching robes like THIS ONE* and THIS ONE*, and our spidey sense is telling us perhaps a long nightgown* might be our best purchase slash obsession.
We have one quibble which is that it’s very hard to see all the patterns in the same style in one place—perhaps a way to scramble our brains so that we forget about the fact that we need to purchase 5 separate patterns because they’re all so adorable?
Also, they come in petite and tall, and many of the styles run up to a 6x. They have free shipping, product arrives quickly, and while we do like to line dry ours to keep the buttery finish of the fabric, we do just throw it in the washing machine on cold. Unlike actual silk which would destroy it.
It also feels good to know we have the perfect gift for every, single woman we know—for birthdays, holidays, Mother’s Day, today, tomorrow, forever.
