This Is The Only Swimsuit We’re Wearing This Summer. And Forever.

This Is The Only Swimsuit We’re Wearing This Summer. And Forever.

WHAT: Andie Swim The Amalfi

WHY: Welp. It’s…that time. Bathing suit season.

For some of us, those three words can plunge us into the depths of despair, dreading the day when we have to gather 38 shapeless swimsuits that we already hate into some soulless dressing room, breathless, while having to negotiate unflattering fluorescent lighting, as we hoist suit after suit over our thighs and bottoms, each one more hideous than the last.

And after these last 2 years, we just didn’t know if we could emotionally handle that.

So, we didn’t.

Instead we ordered a comical number of swimsuits to the comfort of our own home, tried them on with soft, low-lit ambient lighting, and friends? Are you sitting down? We found a swimsuit that didn’t make us sad. It may have made us….happy. Yes. Happy. Because it’s so unbelievably flattering, it fit so well, was so comfortable, and actually covered our butts.

Here she is. The Amalfi swimsuit from Andie.

First, let us bombard you with some key details about why this swimsuit is so thrilling.

  1. It comes in long torso. And it truly is long torso. The fit is unreal.

  2. See those straps? Scroll up and look at them. See how lovely and thin they are? They’re extremely sturdy so they will absolutely hold you up comfortably, but their thinness is so impeccably flattering. Especially on a large bust. Swimsuits almost never have this kind of strap and we may have lightly wept when tried it on for the strap alone. Elegant. Swan like. Floating.

  3. We must reiterate: this. suit. covers. your. butt. Not sure when it became “cool” to have your entire rear end out when casually BBQing with your in-laws or dutifully participating in work “bonding” trips to various campsites with lakes, but we’re not having it.

  4. Sizing goes from size 0 through 22 on this suit, and it fits true to size.

  5. It also comes in a ribbed style (among other styles and colors) which has particularly magical quality where it creates gorgeous structure but never feels tight. And is especially flattering on curves.

  6. They smartly have a whole section on their site where you can specifically shop for “full seat coverage” and see all options available to you HERE. And they also categorize their suits based on 3 choices for bust support HERE.

  7. The medium leg cut hits at the perfect spot to elongate your legs, but not so high that you feel like it’s cutting you off in a weird place (which can often CREATE lumps and bumps which were never there to begin with?)

And check out how flattering the fit around the hip is when compared side-by-side to a similar style suit.

Are we slightly rhapsodic about this swimsuit? We are. Are we almost EXCITED to wear it with sarongs, shorts, maxi skirts, without constantly adjusting and readjusting and plucking it out of our bottoms? We are!

We are also excited to, you know, even swim in it.

PRICE: $95
