Well, We’re Sorry To Say This Viral Foundation Stick Is The Best Foundation Stick We Ever Tried

WHAT: Dior Forever Skin Perfect*

WHY: We wish our favorite foundation stick was some drugstore “hidden gem”, but alas, it is Christian Dior. And it is utter, utter, utter perfection.

First of all, we deeply hate jumping onto any “viral” train because we are not sheep automatons, but because of the sheer number of TikToks extolling its buttery virtues, we simply had to. We do it for you!

Yes, that perfect-skinned TikToker looks to be a solid 20 years younger than any of us, but we couldn’t get the formula out of our heads.

Soooooo, we bought it.

And we are so very sorry to tell you, this foundation stick is unmatched in every category. So let’s run through them, shall we?

  • The texture is indeed like butter. One swipe across the cheek, and it’s almost like it melts into the skin

  • The coverage is VERY flexible—a couple swipes, smeared in with fingers, looks like a lovely tinted moisturizer, add a couple more and it becomes full coverage

  • We are typically terrified of anything they claims to be or CAN be “full coverage” because that usually means all lines and wrinkles and texture are exacerbated on mature skin—not so with this stick. We can keep piling on product, and our skin looks flawless and never cakey.

  • The finish is pretty much every woman’s dream—skin-like, soft, with a very natural, dewy finish

  • If you struggle with hormonal acne or old spots and scars, and definitely if you like to cover up rosacea while not feeling like you have a big pile of makeup on your face, this is a dream

  • We find we don’t even need to wear a concealer with this stick—it’s so creamy and natural we blend it right below our eyes and it knocks back darkness without looking crepey in the slightest

  • It claims to be “24Hour” right in the name and we can attest that while we haven’t worn it for a continuous 24 hours (what kind of lifestyle is this?) we have worn it first thing in the morning around 8am through the day and into the early evening for a vigorous walk, and by the time we removed our makeup at 10pm, our skin still had beautiful skin-like coverage

Here’s one of us at the very store where it was purchased, mere moments after trying it on—we felt that if it looks good under the hideous, fluorescent lights of a department store, surely it will look gorgeous under any conditions.

Ok so shades. And while this is normally the hellish part of any complexion product, we like how CD has laid this out for us. This is exciting. It comes in numbers, and each number is designated either a cool (pinkish), warm (olive), or neutral (both). If you truly have no idea what you are, go with N for neutral. If you’re quite fair with lots of blue or purple veins and silver jewelry is more your thing, you’re prob a C. If you have greenish veins, and get quite tan in the sun, you’re likely M. For ref, on the above photo we are wearing 3N, and here it is on the hand—remember you should never swatch something on your hand to tell if the color works for your face. Entirely different entities.

In short, this foundation will make your skin look really, really gorgeous, the shades are easy to match, and while we don’t love the price, we estimate one stick will last us a year with our daily 3-swipes. And a year of daily use with the cost divided by 365 days is a scant 5 cents a swipe. Girl math. Worth it.

Price: $57
