If Your Dream Is No-Makeup Makeup, This Tinted Balm Will Potentially Blow Your Mind
WHAT: It Cosmetics Do It All Sheer Tint Face Balm*
WHY: A lot of brands are making this new category of base makeup—it’s kind of like a tinted balm that has the finish of a tinted moisturizer, but because it’s in a pot, you can wedge two fingers into it, smear it on your face with zero mirror, and it looks like you’re wearing absolutely ZERO on your skin … except your skin looks perfect.
We wrote about one that we love HERE, though that coverage is much more “I’m wearing foundation.”
But we recently tried an even more “no makeup makeup” version of this type of balm by It Cosmetics*, because we try literally everything they make—we actually saw a campaign with Jennie Garth and she looked gorgeous:
It’s our new favorite thing. It’s called the Do It All Sheer Tint Face Balm* and it is just so very good.
This balm is bursting with delicious ingredients and is actually 94% skincare—we wear it directly onto skin with zero moisturizer and still, it looks glowy and gorgeous and not at all makeuppy. See for yourself:

If you have especially dry skin you may want to still use moisturizer or an oil, but if you’re combo/oily, this is literally all you need in the morning. In the photo above, the only other thing we have on our skin is this very old school blush* we all LOVED back in the 90s. A literal 30-second skin routine, and you’ll glow all day—without looking like you have a stitch of makeup on.
We use our fingers but you could also use your fave face brush. If you click in, the sheer number of shades feels intimidating but they’re all so forgiving you could choose 2 colors off and it’ll still look good—we tried many colors on in Ulta and most of them worked. For reference, the color above on our EIC Audie is called medium-neutral*.
If you’re a true no-makeup-makeup lover, who hates the feeling of makeup on your skin, but also deeply wants to look flawless and glowy all day, there’s not a product we’ve ever tried that fits the bill more than this one. You’ll see.
