WHY: You know when you’re on vacation and you go back to your hotel room after a full day at the beach, and you shower and get ready for dinner and throw on a white linen dress and maybe just a slick of lip gloss and glance at yourself in the mirror, and your eye color is popping, and your décolletage is radiant, and you realize that you have never looked more gorgeous than you do in this moment?

We found a tube of something that has figured out how to bottle that.
There are 98 zillion “glow” products but this is not that. This is actually a bronzing gel that has absolutely zero shimmer—shimmer is likely why you hate all other glow products you’ve tried if you’re over 40. Any sort of sheen has some form of iridescence, and those little bits of mica make pores and wrinkles look huge and cavernous, and we stay far, far away from such things.
But. We still want to look glowy and tan and aprés-beach, and this gives us exactly that.

Look at the popping eye color! Yes, literally nothing else but this gel. We have found it goes on the best when mixed into your moisturizer and then smeared onto skin for a TRULY natural, aprés-beach face. Or, squirt some into your foundation or tinted moisturizer and swirl together if you want some coverage, but you also want an utterly natural, not-at-all orangey tan. It lasts all day, it’s oil free so it doesn’t get weird or sticky throughout the day, and a little goes a long way. Quick tip: wash your hands right after applying.
Listen, we grew up cooking ourselves in tanning beds and slathering our skin in baby oil and baking in the sun; it’s normal for us to feel absolutely unstoppable with a tan. But now that we’re old and wise(?), we know we can’t carry on with such behavior, and we positively drench our faces and bodies in spf every second of our lives. And sure, there is self-tanner, or spray tans, though both come with their challenges and time commitments (and stench), but mostly we’re just too busy/tired for the kind of foresight required for such things.
So … having this little gel to mimic a sun-kissed, bronzy tint that takes around 3 seconds to apply, and that makes us feel like the most beautiful version of ourselves, feels almost like a secret.
