Our Favorite “Clean” VERY Bubbly Bubble Bath

WHAT: Alaffia Everyday Shea Bubble Bath

WHY: There are bath people, and there are non bath people.

If you’re a non bath person and argue that taking a bath is like sitting in a skin-soup of your own filth, we hear you, and we see you.

But for the rest of us, we know the truth; a warm, soapy, soothing bubble bath is about 8 steps away from sheer, unadulterated nirvana.

So, we have typically had two options.

We anoint the running bath water with soothing essential oils, but pay for that choice in the form of scrubbing our tubs for 14-87 minutes to remove its post-bath slippery film. Or we sit in some random bubble-explosion we found absentmindedly at CVS that hasn’t changed its packaging (or formula) since 1962, terrified that our ph balance and vaginal flora is being annihilated by whatever toxic sorcery they used to create bubbles the size of our head.

But there is a third option. The Alaffia bubble bath.

Cruelty-free, and made without sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, artificial color or synthetic fragrance, this bubble bath BUBBLES. And you can soak until you turn into a witch-prune and never worry about angering your lady bits. (Don’t actually attempt this, be a reasonable person, we just wanted to write “witch-prune.” Moving on.)

It comes in Lavender, Vanilla Mint, and unscented, for our sensitive skin friends. We use the adult version for our children, too, though they also have a dedicated line of bubble baths for kids, which are all great and smell delish.

Try soaking with the lavender scent right before bed, and feel the stress exit your body. For 20 minutes anyway. It’s a fucking pandemic.
